Engine (Ignition) Shut Down Time Delay Module The Engine Shut Down Time Delay Module delays the ignition from shutting down after the key switch is turned off. This allows any fuel remaining in the cylinders to be burned after the fuel solenoid closes. Delaying the ignition shut down prevents unburned fuel from entering the muffler and igniting.
